Nestled in the heart of the Agaete Valley, in the north-west of Gran Canaria, Finca Los Castaños is a family-run farm dedicated to growing coffee and tropical fruit. The Agaete Valley is one of the few places in Europe where coffee is grown, thanks to a unique microclimate that combines sunshine, mountain water and fertile volcanic soil.
La visita guiada invita a descubrir de primera mano todo el proceso del café: desde la planta y el fruto hasta el grano tostado listo para la taza. Durante el recorrido por la finca, los visitantes pasean entre cafetos, árboles frutales y vegetación autóctona, mientras nuestro equipo explica la historia del café en el valle, los métodos de cultivo y la recolección, y lo que hace tan especial a un café cultivado en suelo canario.
At the end of the visit, our shop offers coffee grown on the farm and other artisanal products, such as jams and olives, allowing visitors to take home an authentic taste of Gran Canaria.
The farm is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm, with tours departing at 10 am, 11 am, 12 noon, 1 pm, 2 pm and 2.45 pm. Tours are available in several languages, including Spanish, English, German, Russian, Polish and French. They can be booked directly or through online platforms.
